Legal notice
Copyright and Ownership:
-
I retain the copyright to all my artwork, including commissioned pieces, and I reserve the right to display the work in my portfolio, promotional material, or social media (unless agreed otherwise with the client).
-
Buyers are granted the right to display the artwork in accordance with the specified license (personal or commercial), but they cannot claim ownership of the original artwork itself.
Personal Use License:
-
When customers purchase prints, stickers, or digital files of my artwork for personal use, they are granted a personal use license. This means they can enjoy the artwork in their home, gift it, or use it for personal projects (e.g., social media posts, personal websites, etc.).
-
The buyer cannot reproduce the artwork for commercial purposes (e.g., selling prints, using the image for branding or marketing purposes, etc.) without additional licensing or permission.
Commercial Use License:
-
If a customer wants to use my artwork for commercial purposes (such as selling products featuring my art, using it in advertising, or for brand marketing), they must request a commercial use license. This would be an additional cost, and the terms would depend on the scope of use (e.g., how the art will be used, the duration, and distribution).
- Commercial licenses are negotiable based on the project, and pricing will depend on how the artwork will be used and the size of the business.
Commissioned Work:
-
For commissioned artwork, the rights and usage depend on the agreement. Typically, the client receives a personal use license unless otherwise specified.
-
If the commissioned work is intended for commercial use, the client must request and pay for a commercial use license.
- The client will always receive high-resolution digital files upon completion of the commission.
